What is your LOL picture book of 2018?

Nothing lifts the soul more than a good old chuckle and one of the many things I love about Baby Bookworm and his pals is their joyous sense of humour.

It’s wonderful to share a funny book at bedtime and I know a huge amount of effort goes into creating a story that makes both kids and parents crack up.

The Lollies are an annual awards to celebrate books that make children of all ages ‘laugh out loud’ and what’s wonderful is the winners are voted for by the people who read them.

The picture book shortlist this year is top notch but our winner has to be Oi Cat! by Kes Gray and Jim Field – the third edition in the silly seating scenario series.

Here’s our review explaining why we can’t stop laughing at these brilliant books. But the decision is not down to us.

Read on for the full shortlist in all ages categories and how you can cast your vote. The deadline is 14 December 2018.
